Five Skin Care Tips for Healthy, Beautiful Breasts

Skin Care Tips for Breasts

Certain factors that affect the appearance of your breasts are simply out of your hands. For example, no one can stop the aging process; over time, the skin loses elasticity and the breasts begin to sag. Your genes also play an important role in the quality of your skin, including your breast skin.

While these factors are uncontrollable, proper skin care can help preserve the youth and beauty of your breasts. Here, Dr. Sanjiv Kayastha shares the top five tips for healthy skin and beautiful, young-looking breasts.

1.     Choose the Right Moisturizer

Moisturizing hydrates the skin, including the breast skin, keeping it healthy, firm and supple. However, not all moisturizers are equal and the one you use on your facial skin may not be appropriate for your breasts. Be sure to use a moisturizer that contains plenty of vitamin C and no alcohol-based ingredients, which can dry the skin.

2.     Don’t Sunbathe

The skin on your breasts is thin and delicate, and even the slightest amount of unprotected sun exposure can weaken it. Not only is your chest area at risk for sunburns, but overexposure to the sun can cause dark spots and wrinkles to accumulate on the breast skin. Protect your breasts by applying sunscreen whenever they are exposed.

3.     Avoid Crash Dieting

Although it may be tempting, losing a large amount of weight in a short amount of time can cause the skin, including the breast skin, to become loose and saggy. Slow and steady is the best way to lose weight. Be sure to exercise three to four times a week and eat a balanced diet.

4.     Eat Nutritious Foods

Speaking of eating right, your diet should include plenty of fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants that help keep your skin nourished and strong. Avoid eating excessive amounts of sugar, which can cause the skin to look dull and dry. Steer clear from oily and saturated foods, which can lead to blemishes, including pimples on the breasts.

5.     Don’t Smoke

Smoking prevents proper blood circulation and oxygen from reaching your skin. It also damages collagen and elastin, two proteins responsible for firm, elastic skin. This leads to premature wrinkles and dull-looking, saggy skin throughout the face and breasts.
