Your Neck Lift Procedure

Your neck lift will be performed in the hospital operating room under local or general anesthesia. The procedure should take approximately two to three hours to complete. Albany plastic surgeon Dr. Bruce Barach will make an incision behind the ears and underneath your chin. Excess fat will be directly removed, or removed using liposuction. Loose, sagging skin is removed and muscles in the region are tightened to achieve your desired aesthetic goals.

You will need to wear a compression garment for approximately one week following your procedure to facilitate the healing process. You should expect to experience some swelling and bruising which will gradually subside over the next two weeks. The inconspicuously located scars will fade, soften, and settle over a period of several months.
